DENTAL IMPLANTS
Dental implants are titanium screws surgically placed into the jawbone to replace missing tooth roots, providing a stable anchor for a replacement tooth, bridge, or denture.
The process involves the metal implant fusing with the jaw bone over several months, after which a bespoke crown, or other restoration, is fitted on top. This provides a long-lasting, natural-looking solution for tooth loss, helping with function and aesthetics.
How they work
A titanium screw is surgically placed into your jaw bone to act as a new tooth root.
The jaw bone fuses with the implant over time (a process called “osseointegration”), creating a strong and stable foundation.
Once healed, a replacement tooth (crown), bridge, or denture can be attached to the implant(s).
Who is a candidate?
Adults of all ages who are missing teeth - depending on the quality and volume of bone available.
Patients who are self-conscious about their smile, struggle with biting/chewing, or need a more secure alternative to dentures.

Potential risks: As with any surgery, there are some risks, such as infection, nerve injury, or implant failure.
